The project for the multifunctional pavilion developed during a second phase that redefined the overall design of the entire initiative. In this new development, the decision was made to approach the project with a more iconic and traditional morphology that could immediately evoke the idea of public space and even sacredness. From the outset, great attention was given to the high landscape sensitivity of the area. For this reason, the formal choices were directly inspired by the neighboring elements, such as the octagonal chapels and the repeated arches within the Church of Santa Teresa di Gesù Bambino. The main body of the pavilion is designed in the shape of an octagon, connected to two rectangular sections that house service areas, the entrance, and the restrooms. All volumes are clad in ceramic with different colors and geometries, enhancing the composition of the various elements.
Moreover, the layout allows the new structure to serve as a division between a more public area linked to the main pedestrian entrance and a more private, sheltered area near the Church. The outdoor space, characterized by the unique design of the flower beds, will serve as a tranquil courtyard, capable of welcoming visitors to the pavilion or simply inviting passersby to stop for a chat in the shade.
